Hi I'm Jaclyn. I went through much of my adolescence feeling unhappy with the way I looked, I tried every new fad diet under the sun. My apparent lack of willpower around food made me hate myself. Nutrition and exercise were beyond confusing to me as I worked out more and more and reduced my calories along the way. Add on top of that some bloating, digestion and skin issues and I felt terrible!
It wasn't until I discovered that I would never get to where I wanted by following some ridiculous diet program or work out until exhaustion. When I learned about the power of eating real food and how to prepare it deliciously, including incorporating some fantastic superfoods that my whole life changed. Food was no longer the enemy and I learned that willpower is BS. I also healed my digestion issues and discovered the direct relationship this had on my skin as well. Within six months, I was completely symptom free - no more bloating, gas, constipation or eczema and the best part I felt amazing without much effort.
That discovery motivated me to go back to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist. Now I offer my programs to hundreds of women all over the world that don't know what to eat (or how to prepare it), want to stop feeling anxious around food, get rid of their unexplained digestion troubles and get great skin naturally.
Five Reasons That Dieting Doesnt Work!
Dieting doesn't take into account an individuals needs, activity level or body type.
Dieting messes with your digestion and even your sleep, leading to more weight issues.
Dieting is highly stressful. Incresed stress levels lead to an increase in cortisol (known as ourstress hormone), leading us to put on or maintain the weight we are trying to lose.
Dieting leads to restricitve eating patterns and subsequently our bodies enter starvation mode where we actually hold on to weight.
Dieting is not a long term solution, which leads to yo-yo dieting, more weight fluctuation and issues with your hormones and blood sugar.
After years of doing things the conventional way and seeing women do the same, this is what I have seen:
You are eating less, restricting more and more and still not seeing the weight come off, despite your best efforts to follow the rules and eat "good" foods.
You try and suck it in whenever you are putting on a pair of jeans so the button doesn't pop off and throughout the day, you need to unbutton those pants just to be more comfortable.
You even increase your exercise routine, up the cardio and suffer through another class while feeling drained and exhausted, but still can't seem to drop the weight.
By the end of the day, your "willpower" is completely shot and you cannot ignore your cravings for salt, chocolate and a glass (or three) of wine.

What is this six week program all about?
I created this six-week program as a way for women to change the way they look at food by putting an end to fad diets, emotional and binge eating and a lack of self care. We are going to focus on six core principles that are ESSENTIAL to understanding how your body works best without ever counting calories again!
But why is this going to work when so many other programs failed me in the past?
As I mentioned already I get it. I have been there too and I know how frustrated you are feeling right now.
Ditch The Diet is all about getting to understand how our bodies work and why digestion is such a key component in learning how we can take back control over food, cravings and our bodies.
As we progress throughout the six weeks, you will learn and implement key strategies that are going to get you the results you want.
Before we even begin, you and I will set realistic and attainable goals that you want to reach.
Then each week a new module will be sent to you via email along with a worksheet that helps to hold you accountable to your goals and what you are learning.
At the end of each week, we will have a coaching call to go over the week's module and clarify any issues or questions you may have and to determine how the program is working for you. We will also discuss your worksheet and progress made during the call and I will hold you accountable to your goals along the way!

Here is exactly what will be covered throughout the six weeks:
Week One: All about Digestion: One of the most important aspects of nutrition that is fundamental to discovering how food makes you feel. You are going to learn about the digestive process, where I will break down (pun intended) how food is digested, simple tips to improve digestion, what causes bloating and supplements that can help with digestion. You will also gain a deeper understanding of how your body breaks down specific foods and how this affects your mood.
Week Two: Getting in tune with your body:Getting in tune with your body is important so that you can devise a new plan and strategies that work best for you. The importance of blood sugar balancing is also discussed, no more cranky pants or bouts of hanger. No one diet is right for anyone and you will discover how to slow down and listen to the signals your body is sending you. You will also learn what your cravings mean, how to satisfy them the holistic foodie way and if you wish, how to kick them.
Week Three: Choosing Better Foods: I am often complimented on my “control around food,” however this isn’t the case, it is my deep understanding of food and how it nourishes me that guides my choices. I am teaching you how to do this too with practical tips about whole food, what to look for when grocery shopping and an in depth pantry clean out guide. You will learn how to be a savvy shopper in no time!
Week Four: Sleep: One of the most common complaints I hear from women is that they are tired ALL THE TIME! Here we are going to address the importance of sleep, learn easy and helpful sleep tips and natural aides and herbs that can address this issue. You will also learn why getting adequate sleep is essential for stress, your health/wellness and even fitting into your jeans.
Week Five: Self Care:As women, we are often way too hard on ourselves and we also tend to put our own needs and wants last, but this truly doesn't serve us one bit. You will learn how to incorporate self care practices into your daily life that work for you and learn about the power of self love through positive affirmations and how to let go of your inner mean girl voice, we all have one! You will also discover why this is critical to moving forward in your health and wellness journey.
Week Six: Lifestyle and Exercise: In this module you are going to learn about the power of meditation and mindfulness, how to stay motivated when implementing new lifestyle and exercise techniques and how to balance life and your new found lifestyle. You are going to learn how to create a lifestyle that is balanced and works for you beyond the six weeks. A focus on finding an exercise routine that fits your needs and goals will be determined via the worksheet and coaching.

Q: What kinds of foods am I going to be eating?
A: All kinds of food! Mainly, whole and unprocessed foods, such as whole grains (quinoa, brown rice, oatmeal), proteins (chicken, fish, lamb, beef, eggs, chickpeas, tempeh, tofu, beans, leumes) and various veggies and fruits.
Q: Will I lose weight on this plan?
A: If weight loss is your goal, this is what we will work towards. This isn't a srict weight loss program, however weight loss may occur due to the nature of the program, the food and the modules that are covered. This is lifestyle program rather than a weight loss one.
Q: Will I need to spend hours prepping or making food?
A: Most of the breakfast options are easily prepared at night to go in the morning, similar to the lunches. The dinners can be made in about 45 minutes or less, with some taking a bit longer but you can reserve those for the weekend. You will also get my meal prep guide which will show you how easy it is to prepare healthy meals.
Q: How much time will I need to devote to this program?
A: To read through the material and fill out the worksheets, you will need to spend approximately 20-30 minutes each week. Beyond this, regular meal prep and cooking will take place each week. Coaching calls will take place each week (once per week) and will last about 30-45 minutes. In total you will spend about 1 hour each week devoted to the program itself.
Q: Will I have to spend a lot of money on special foods or appliances?
A: There are a few pantry staples that I do incorporate in many of my recipes. You will be given plenty of options to incude them or not, although I do encourage you to try new items. Most of these items can be found at well stocked grocery stores and health food stores or even online. As for appliances, smoothies taste best when they are well blended, so a good high powered blender is recommended, although not absolutely necssary. A food processor is also a good tool to have for many of these recipes.
